Daniel Harvey (or Harvey as he is known to his patients) is the principal physiotherapist and director of Sports & Spinal Physiotherapy. He is a proud Westie who has lived in West Auckland for over 40 years and attended local schools.
Harvey has developed expertise in spinal and chronic pain conditions. He has strong links with Auckland’s leading orthopaedic, medical and pain specialists and has developed a reputation for delivering excellent post-surgical and chronic pain rehabilitation outcomes. Daniel is the former President of the New Zealand Manipulative Physiotherapy Association, a former executive Council member of the New Zealand Pain Society, and a former executive committee member of the Occupational Health Physiotherapy Group. He is on many physiotherapy and health-related reference/working groups and is a part-time Senior Lecturer at AUT University. In 2023, he became a New Zealand Physiotherapy Board-registered Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Specialist.
Qualifications: Doctor of Philosophy (PhD); Master of Health Science via Thesis (Honours), Master of Health Practice (Distinction) in Rehabilitation, Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy), Post Graduate Diploma of Health Science (Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy), Post Graduate Certificate of Health Science (Western Acupuncture).
